How to get to Mallaig

By Road

From Glasgow

Head North on the A82 until you get to Fort William, once through Fort William, take a left and then head onto the A830 towards Mallaig.

From Edinburgh

Head  onto the M9 towards Stirling, turning off at Junction towards Callander on the A84 and from Callander to Crianlarich on A85 and from Crianlarich to Fort William on the A82.  Then from Fort William to Mallaig on the A830.

From Inverness

Head South on the A82 until just before you enter Fort William, take a right and then head onto the A830 towards Mallaig.

Ferries / Boats

Caledonian MacBrayne operates a car ferry between Mallaig and Armadale on Skye, as well as one between Mallaig and South Uist (connects with Barra and the rest of the Outer Hebrides). They also sail from Mallaig to the Small Isles www.calmac.co.uk telephone  0800 066 5000
